Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

I’m excited to offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to individuals in Atlanta and online who are seeking fast and effective relief from trauma. This remarkable, evidence-based therapy is designed to provide tremendous healing for those struggling with symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related challenges.

ART uses guided eye movements to mimic the restorative process of REM sleep while you remain awake. You may be familiar with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), another trauma-focused therapy that also employs eye movements. However, many clients find that ART delivers faster symptom relief with fewer sessions.

What Makes Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) so effective?

In addition to the eye movements, ART includes the replacement of negative images with positive ones of the client’s choice. Once the negative images are modified, the triggers are removed. This stops nightmares and intrusive thoughts because the memory has been changed. These two tools lead to fast and effective relief from post-traumatic stress symptoms–often done within a 85-90 minute session.

Another reason ART is unique is that it doesn’t require clients to talk about the details of their trauma. As your therapist, I guide the process, but you remain in full control, only sharing what feels comfortable. This makes ART an excellent option for survivors of combat trauma, traumatic loss, abuse, neglect, sexual assault and more.

If you’re ready to experience rapid trauma healing and let go of the distress you’ve learned to live with, I’m here to help. There’s hope, healing, and relief waiting for you through Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
