About Me - Laura Carmody LCSW, MS
I grew up here in Atlanta, GA, and thrive on the diversity that it brings. In my spare time, I like spending time with friends and family, playing with my dogs Ryleigh and Buddy, and sitting in sunshine. I volunteer with animal rescue organizations. My personal relationships are the most important things to me. I am honored and privileged to be a therapist.
August 2003 - May 2007
BS in Psychology, Presbyterian College
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Biology. Studied personality theory, psychopharmacology, mental health disorders and causality, psychology theory.
August 2008 - May 2010
MSW, University of Georgia
Master's degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work. This includes mental health counseling, assessment, treatment; in addition, case management, public policy, and cultural diversity.
